What the tools do. Snap4Passport provides browser-based tools that crop, resize and compress photographs to published document specifications, and specification checkers that compare a photo against the requirements published by the relevant authority. Specifications are reproduced from the official sources named on each page, checked on the dates shown.

No guarantee of acceptance. Final acceptance of any photograph is decided solely by the issuing authority (a passport office, embassy, consulate or visa application centre), based on factors that include the original photograph itself. Snap4Passport does not guarantee that any photo produced or checked with these tools will be accepted, and is not affiliated with any government or authority.

Your responsibilities. Always confirm the current requirements in your own application instructions before submitting — requirements change, and your application instructions prevail over any information on this site. For documents that must be produced by a professional (for example Canadian and Australian passport photos), the tools are guides and checkers only.

Acceptable use. Do not use the tools to create deceptive documents or to misrepresent identity. You retain all rights in your own photographs.
